Air Travel In Sudan

KHARTOUM INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT HOSTS A LONG LIST OF
INTERNATIONAL  AIRLINES, IN ADDITION TO SUDAN AIRWAYS,

which alone annually carries about half a million passengers. Middle
Eastern and North African airlines carrying passengers in and out of
Khartoum are Egypt Air, Gulf Air, Emirates Airlines, Syrian Airlines,
Yemenia Airlines, Qatar Airways, Saudi Airline, ,and Royal Jordanian
Airlines. Kenya Airlines and Ethiopian Airlines also have booking offices
in Khartoum and flights connecting to other parts of the world.

Air France and Lufthansa are the only European airlines operating in
Sudan. Sudan Air has flights to London, Paris, Tripoli (Libya), Sana’a
(Yemen), Kano (Nigeria), Sharjah (United Arab Emirates), N’djamena
(Chad), Niamey (Niger), and Riyadh. Several international flights are
available every day.

There is a number of internal helicopter and airoplane services to all the
regions and major cities within the country.

The Civil Aviation Authority is the regulatory body for all non-military air
traffic affairs.
